Long time no blogging, but my excuse for it is great; I had a visitor from America!

But here we go... first I want to tell you about the postcards I have send and that have reached their destination....

id # NL-68302 has reached Canada and traveld 7.697 km's and 20 day's to get there.

id # NL-68301 has reached the UK and traveled 366 km's and 11 days to get there.

id # NL-66740 has finaly reached Portugal and traveled 1.864 km's and 26 days to get at it's destination.

Now for the fun part of this Blog:

This card came from Janina from Germany
it has id # : DE-139955, traveled 401 km's and it took 7 days to get to my SMMB.

This postcard comes from Masa ( Linola ) from Slovenija.
it has id # : SI-4060, traveled 1.013 km's and it took 7 days to get to my SMMB.
Masa is 13 y.o.and from Ljubljana ( capital city of Slovenija ).

FI-261178 had arrived

Last week this beautifull picture postcard from Finland came to my SMMB.

It was send by a postcrossing member called Sanneli - she is 12 years old! - it has traveled for 1.569 km's and it took 4 days to reach my SMMB.

Also, the postcard I have send to Portugal has arrived... it ook 26 (!) days to reach it's destination !!!!!

I also got a picture postcard from some dear friends who are on a vacation in Norwegia.

it has id: DE-132303 and came from Germany.

I also got some new id's today to send some postcards to ; NL-68299 to Germany, NL-68301 to England & NL-68302 to Canada, the postcard to Portugal has not arrived yet, I wonder where it went?
And I got a Thank you postcard from Leentjes - Belgium, one with a kittycat with a butterfly on it's nose, so so cute! thanks for that!

NL-67325 has arrived

Yes, last week "Leentjes" from Belgium has let me know that my postcard had arrived in her SMMB. It has ID: NL-67325, it traveled 144 km and took 5 days to arrive. With this postcard my total of traveled km's comes at 1955 KM. There are still a couple of cards on their way to other postcrossers, and I think there should be 2 cards on their way to me now.... can't wait to see them. A friend of mine is going to Norwegia later this week and I reminded her to take her adresbook with her so she could send me a postcard, lol.

my postcard collection

hi there!

I am a collector of postcards that are send to me by snailmail, I just love to get picturepostcards in my mailbox!
In January 2008 I found a website that is called postcrossing.com and I made myself a member there. The whole point of that website is that you send a postcard to a complete stranger. The reciever checks in his/her ricieved on the website and than you will be up to recieve a postcard from another complete stranger....

I have just started this so I have to see how this is working, but I have good hopes!
Till now I have only send 2 cards; one to Germany and another to Finland.

Now I have to wait and see if I get 2 cards back and when that event will happen...
In the mean time I want to share with you some postcards I recieved from internet friends all over the world allready and not just internetfriends! I always ask friends and family to send me a card when going somewhere, so now I have cards from Rome, Greece, America and even my own little country The Netherlands. (*ü*)

In the upcomming days am going to scan the postcards I already have and put them up in this blog, than wait for the postcards from the postcrossing.com site....
